Frenchman Sebastien Loeb continued his march toward a maiden world title with an impressive victory by 26 seconds on the Rally of Turkey, notching his second win on gravel and already his fourth event win of 2004. After being so close to a first world title in 2003, the Citroen team pledged to commit all of its efforts toward a Loeb title in 2004, and with the Alsace man's wonderful skills and growing comfort on gravel, a title win this year grows ever closer. Current world champion Petter Solberg will have something to say of course, and he stayed in the hunt in the title chase with a third place, giving Marcus Gronholm a fright in the closing stages as he narrowed the gap between the two to 10 seconds.
