J.P. Morgan of Charlotte, N.C., took the lead on an “overtime” restart in the Visit Hampton VA 250 and sped to his second win of the season in the USARacing Pro Cup Series. It was the featured event of Saturday evening’s racing program at Langley Speedway. Brad Rogers wheeled the Chesapeake-based Lamb & Robinson Ford to the pole position. He qualified at 85.864 mph, just missing a track record for the division by four-thousandths of a second. As the race got under way, Rogers jumped into the lead, followed by Morgan, who lined up fourth on the 21-car grid. Rogers paced the first 54 laps, giving up the top spot when the leaders made their first pit stops under the third caution flag. Todd McCarson was the leader for the restart. Soon after the green reappeared, though, he was muscled aside by Morgan, who took his first lead on lap 63.
